Meet Dr. Galati

Dr. Jay Galati graduated from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio in May 1994 with a Bachelor of Science in Biological Science, graduating "cum laude". He then went to Case Western Reserve University, School of Dentistry, Cleveland Ohio where he received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery.

He continued his specialty training in Orthodontics at Case Western Reserve University where he received his Masters of Science in Dentistry degree and Certification in Orthodontics.

Experience

Dr. Galati has been practicing orthodontics in Scottsdale, Arizona since 2000 and attends advanced continuing education courses across the United States. He maintains his own private Orthodontic practice focusing on a health-centered environment while promoting wellness in a way that contributes to the quality of life and self esteem of our clients, and to achieve the best possible results in teeth alignment and jaw function.

Honors / Awards

Dr. Galati has been named one of the top orthodontists in Phoenix Magazine on multiple occasions and has received recognition for volunteer work for the Cleveland Free Clinic in Ohio. He was elected to the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Honor Society, given to the top dental graduates in the nation. While at Case Western Reserve University he received recognition for his clinical excellence in Orthodontic care.

Activities / Leadership

Dr. Galati served as a board member of the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontics from 2004-2009. From 2003-2006 he was Speaker Chairman for the Arizona Orthodontic Study Group. From 2005-2006 Dr. Galati was President of the Scottsdale/Paradise Valley Study Club. Since 2002, he was a committee member of Phoenix College Dental Assisting Accreditation Committee. Dr. Galati also served on the American Association of Orthodontists house of delegates from 2008 to 2009.

Personal

Dr. Galati has been married to his college sweetheart Lisa since 1995. They have two sons, Jack and Joey who currently attend Cheyenne Traditional School. He is a devoted husband and father and loves spending time mountain biking and playing sports with his children and a cute chocolate lab named Riley.
